Diary of a Form 3 Kid

I was tidying and clearing junks in my room this afternoon and I stumbled across an old diary which I kept during my school days. It's not really a daily type of dairy but I would write/draw/scribble any rubbish inside. And to use it to cure my boredom when the teacher is teaching in front.

Here is a short recorded moments which I found on some pages. This was in Form 3 when we still had nothing much to worry but PMR.

27th July 2001
Today Shao Jin and Alvin Leong called each other stupid. Then I laughed when Shao Jin asked for his pen. One of my page from my maths book came out. Shao Jin sings like a frog. I look back on what I have written, and smiled. Shao Jin as usual copied my answers as I continued doing my questions. I’m so boring and blurred out… What is this question asking? I decided to call teacher. Mr Loo passed the class. Yes!! I finally did it… My class is so noisy! On my left, there is a bunch of guys talking about…VCD, girls etc. While the guy in front of me, Alex, keep walking around the class, talking and laughing with other friends and draw a picture on the white board. What is even worse, Sinnta is sleeping zzz… 3E is so boring…

SUDDENLY, Wei Hoong show teacher a handphone. Oh my God. That’s stupid, Wei Hoong. Teacher will report it to our class teacher. No, to Pn Ramah. No no, to Mr Loo and he is going to confiscate it. Again, this teacher JUST DON’T CARE, or in other term: ‘SLUMBER’

RING…! The bell has rang and the teacher is gone. The class is becoming noisier and noisier. Here comes Joel, He is asking for my telephone number. When I say ‘603’ he asked what’s that. Alex laughed at him and called him stupid. When I show this dairy to Alex. He laughed and gave me back the book.

Now what? Shao Jin is sleeping. Suddenly he woke up and said ‘Sarimah’. He doesn’t want to do the work which was given to him. Everybody is booking to go to the toilet when a car crash… teacher asked me to throw the rubbish but I ‘mubs’ lar… Everybody is talking crab..what is the answer for this stupid question. ‘Walanyeh’ comes out from Shin Keat mouth. And suddenly I heard about ‘cake’. Joel and Jian Fai talking about ‘cake’. And suddenly change to ‘banana’. Hey guys, you know what are they talking bout larr, right? On my front, there is a guy name Alex which is the ‘8 kong’ in the class. He always walking around and talking here and there to ‘find some business’ to do. But now, miracle, he just sitting there and do his homework. Everyone is so ‘serious’ doing their kefahaman. Take a look at Tuck Chun. Normally he’s always chit-chatting with Man Kiat. And now, both of them are thinking the question. Looks like they are preparing to score 7As in their PMR. Looks like the noise is starting again.. Shin Keat is asking stupid questions.. Alvin is asking me for answers. Alvin Leong…… What a ‘tut…’ ‘girl’.

Pn Jamilah say ‘kalau tidak ada pasang kipas cakap panas, sekarang ada kipas kata sejuk.’ Then Joel ask for PJ but teacher disallow. Shao Jin asking teacher to give answers…he’s bitting the pen and write the answers. Pn Sarah didn’t come. ‘Yes, yes……’ Everyone now is walking around Lup Kee said that ‘Guru ganti’ is Pn Ramah. Everyone is gathering at Perry's place when Joel passed the handphone to Galvin. It started to rain. Tho asks me for his liquid but it was in his bag. What a peaceful day. Jian Fai feel angry because Shao Jin conteng the paper he needed for the interact class. Actually, I also contect some. Kasihan Shao Jin.

3rd Oct 2001
13 days left to PMR. Now we are having Geography. Pn Siti is teaching but no one understands. Everybody is drowning and soo blur. Only Kee Guan is still aktif. Ying Khai shoots Tao Payoh and he scores. The bells rings, I wonder who’s coming in next?

A teacher comes in, when the class wants to greet her. She ask to hold on… and scold us!

4th Oct 2001
12 days left. 2 periods of PJ really is tiring… Now we are having a math test and that’s even worse. What’s next?! Oh no! Now we have KH test. The bell rings, it’s time for recess and after that, back to KH for more test. Ah finally the last 2 periods of the day but it is BM and Jamilah comes in. She asks us to use the book we bought by force. Alvin is really killing me. Such simple questions.

Ha! Ha! Ha! Actually I also know how to do the question that Alvin asked me. I just wanna ‘test’ him only. After that , Alex come and look at what I’ve written, he then laugh. Alex brought a bible to school, he show Collins and Sze Ping something in it. And there is something that he don’t want to show them. Still got what? About S2 (Siew Siew) one lorr.. Aiyah.. it’s so boring. Shao Jin suddenly ask me a question and then Wei Loong menyampuk. Celeka punya budak. Shao Jin is so irritating. I think I must split my table from his. What kind of polygon notes is this? Why is the time so slow. One of my notes is missing and Alvin asked me to ask Mr Lai to come for tuition 2-4. Alvin think he is so smart. He still asked questions! Ha! Ha! Ha! I gave this to Alvin to read. He laughed :D

5th Oct 2001
11 days left to the war – PMR. The war that we have to suffer for 4 fays and we took 3 years to plan the strategies. After this war, we’ll be free like a bird. Nelly said, we’ll be like a bird and we’ll only fly away.

11th Oct 2001
5 days left…

12th Oct 2001
PMR…4 days left

21th May 2002
PMR OVER!!! NOW WAITING SPM!

Ah, what a high school life I had!

Christmas and Turkey

MERRY Christmas people! It's a day of celebration and the traffic in KL is horrible. I've learned my lesson: NEVER shop for Christmas gift at the very last minute. The Christmas decorations of the malls in the Klang Valley are nice though. I grabbed some chances to visit some of them:
Pavilion KL
MidValley Megamall
Sunway Pyramid

MJ. A Memorable Journey

IT'S still unbelievable when I think of Michael Jackson's passing away. Months ago we still could heard of him fighting with his court case and people trying to sue him blablabla. Now look at him, all gone and  people are starting to miss and remember him.

How many animals are there?

I still remember the first time when I saw him on TV, I thought he was a woman! At such a young age, I supposed people with long hair are girls.

Shinny HAWT!

Sometimes when I see his photos. I start to imagine how can he possibly be a person who was born black with KABOOM hairstyle:

 become so fairly white:
(the hair is still a bit curly in this photo)

Well, after some googles I've just learnt that it is because of his skin disorder disease that destroy the skin pigmentation. It was something that can't be helped. Also, Michael Jackson slept in oxygen chamber to what he believed that it will keep his life span longer. Hmm, that is interesting.

Michael Jackson wouldn't be famous if it wasn't for his dance moves

Moonwalk has certainly became a trademark for MJ, although some of the sources say that he did not invent, but perfected it from the others.

After his death, many of his past videos and music are being played all over the channels. It brings back a lot of memories cuz I used to watch them last time. Among all this music videos, the one I like and admire the most is none other than...

The Smooth Criminal. Eeooww!

All the dance moves in it, I tell you, superb! He is legendary.

During my secondary school times back in 2003, few of my friends and I was trying to do some 'legendary' performance and so we danced the Michael Jackson's songs during the teachers' day. Take a look and have some laugh! =p

That was SIX years ago, man!!

Randy's Farewell + CNY

LAST night we had a little gathering. It was supposed to be a farewell gathering for Randy as he will be leaving for Australia on this coming Saturday - Valentine's Day.

Anyway Perry was the organiser and 13 of us turned up for the dinner at Tsim Tsung restaurant. It's good to see many of my former school mates again. The one person that I never seen for a long time was Kok Choon Teng. Man, he is still alive and the same! And still talking about gadgets and cars. Suresh is also back from Kansas. He told us stories like how he got drunk in the bar and went straight for the examination etc. It seems like he was having a great time in the states,

Right after dinner, we headed to Jian Fai house. His pet dog, Oscar was so high and excited to see many of us. He couldn't stop chewing on Wai Luen's fingers.

How could we miss a game of Blackjack during Chinese New Year. Suresh was getting some luck because according to him he was sitting facing right at the Ambank on the outside.
Suresh: "Come on man, don't wash away my luck"

As for me, I was winning a little bit at the beginning but later I started to lose out a few bucks. Jian Fai and Paulsen were the bankers for the night.
The FHM edition cards made us confused as we were too distracted by the picture on every card.
Halfway during the game, we were told to leave the room to the outside. And there was already a cake in the middle of the table.
Some of us were rather confused what was going on, seeing that it was nobody's birthday around the corner.
The truth is, this blueberry cheese cake was baked (and chilled) by our lovely Yee Mei to her boy. It was supposed to be a farewell cake and also his birthday cake, which only comes later in the month of June. We celebrated in advance for him since we couldn't afford to fly to Australia to celebrate with him. =)
Randy boy
"Hey u all better sing a song for me"

So all of us sang a song to him and Randy made a wish before blowing the candles. We gave him a little farewell gift + birthday present.

On most of the birthdays, I see Jian Fai cutting the cake

Then we continued with games and chit-chatting. It was nice to see everybody again!

Genting Day Trip

ON Monday night, Jason suggested a last minute Genting trip since he has a two days leave off his work. Planned to meet at my house at 11am on Tuesday morning. But according to MBSian tradition, an additional of 1 hour will have to add to the suggested time, which turned out to 12pm.

After having our lunch at Quan's cafe Pandan Indah, we left for Genting at 2pm. Jason and Siew Ki are going up by their car while the rest of us (Randy, Yee Mei, Perry and I) took a cab up. It cost RM52. Quite convenient and a fast way to reach up the hilltop.
On the way up

We reached Genting Highlands at 3pm. The cab dropped us at the First World Hotel and we met up with Jason there. The people inside the First World Plaza were damn lot! It is Christmans season and also holiday season in both Malaysia and Singapore.

First we went into the Casino @ First World Hotel. We didn't put any bet but just walked around and see how the people played inside. There was this machine which made us all wonder how it should be played. People just pressed the button and waiting for 'something' to happen. If not mistaken it is the Jackpot.
Most of the games there are handled electronically. And the number of CCTV inside the casino is enough to fill the whole ceiling ady.
We went out to the First World Plaza. The queue for all the rides were full of people and remarkably long. There was no way we could wana play any rides at that time. At first we planned to play the Adult bumper car but it was later put off after looking at the terrible queue. And the so called 'Adult' bumper car are mainly children.
So what happened to the Junior bumber car? For babies only?
Then we headed to the Snow World but the ticket was selling the 6.30pm session. A little bit too late since we are planning to leave Genting on that day itself.
So in the end we just walked around the place and enjoy the cool breeze outside. Also making fun of the people screaming on the Flying coaster ride. Hehe.

Perry. It was his 1st time to Genting since 3 year old
Quite foggy during the month of December
After a long walk we wanted to find to place to sit and have drinks so Jason suggested Coffee Bean at the Resorts hotel. When we reached there, there weren't any nice seats available outside and the view was not very nice so we headed back to First World hotel for Starbucks coffee.

Some shots at the park outside First World:

What was Jason doing?

All of us

We saw this front desk with nobody and so went to fool around with it.

Inside the First World Plaza

At night, we went to Taman Yulek for steamboat dinner at the Restoran Choong Huat. They have the normal plain soup, Tom Yam and also herbal soup, which I never tried before. Apart from the steamboat dishes, we ordered grill fish and BBQ chicken wing for side dishes.

We ate till very very full until we couldn't finish the vegetables and the mee hoon. But it was quite enjoying and feeling good to meet again, talking back our memories, crapping all the way and we really had a nice day.

Like what Yee Mei said: "It's not the journey that matters, but the...." Ermm, I can't really hear what she said after that. =p

So, when is the next trip?

**Correction: "It's not the destination that matters, but the journey." Hehe

YESTERDAY was my 21st birthday. I celebrated with 20 of my coursemates by going out together for a dinner. Coincidencely there is also one coursemate, Tiong who was born the same day as mine. So the two of us celebrated our day together.

We went to this Bak Kut Teh restaurant in Taman U nearby. The boss gave us some discount as we, the birthday boys were paying for the dinner.

A week ago, before coming back to UTM, I had an advanced birthday celebration with my fellow MBS buddies. It's a celebration not to be missed with them.
We had dinner at the newly opened Pavilion's Tony Roma's. I tried it once before in Singapore and found it very nice so feel like having it again. And since the rest haven't tried before.
Well, some of us enjoyed to food and some find it just ok. Perry said the rice is like nasi byrani from Steven's Corner's. Apart from the food that is served there, we also had red wine which I brought from home.

Chia Sheng
The price of the food there is slightly higher but they serve in quite a big portion. It has a nice ambience and the service is good. We even met one of our ex-schoolmate, Dora, who was working as a waitress there.

I actually saved this post for quite some time already and didn't publish it. About a month ago, my studio lecturer invited our workbase to her house for buka puasa. But before that we had crit session for our studio project.
So many books. Can become a mini library already

After criting our project, one by one the girls went to prepare the food. And I just gave them moral support by snapping some pics. Hehe.

After hearing the sembahyang music from the outside surau, we started our meal. They prepared many kinds of food. Pizza, spagetti, fried chicken, fries, some malay kuih etc. Wah like going for buffet like that. So many choices!

Some time ago I was reading this magazine in my Singapore's aunt house.

Something caught my attention

And so I turned to the page to check it out.

It's an article about Star Cruises holiday. And when I took a closer look at one of the pics.

Guess who I saw?
JASON!! How come you are there??
