MJ. A Memorable Journey

IT'S still unbelievable when I think of Michael Jackson's passing away. Months ago we still could heard of him fighting with his court case and people trying to sue him blablabla. Now look at him, all gone and  people are starting to miss and remember him.

How many animals are there?

I still remember the first time when I saw him on TV, I thought he was a woman! At such a young age, I supposed people with long hair are girls.

Shinny HAWT!

Sometimes when I see his photos. I start to imagine how can he possibly be a person who was born black with KABOOM hairstyle:

 become so fairly white:
(the hair is still a bit curly in this photo)

Well, after some googles I've just learnt that it is because of his skin disorder disease that destroy the skin pigmentation. It was something that can't be helped. Also, Michael Jackson slept in oxygen chamber to what he believed that it will keep his life span longer. Hmm, that is interesting.

Michael Jackson wouldn't be famous if it wasn't for his dance moves

Moonwalk has certainly became a trademark for MJ, although some of the sources say that he did not invent, but perfected it from the others.

After his death, many of his past videos and music are being played all over the channels. It brings back a lot of memories cuz I used to watch them last time. Among all this music videos, the one I like and admire the most is none other than...

The Smooth Criminal. Eeooww!

All the dance moves in it, I tell you, superb! He is legendary.

During my secondary school times back in 2003, few of my friends and I was trying to do some 'legendary' performance and so we danced the Michael Jackson's songs during the teachers' day. Take a look and have some laugh! =p

That was SIX years ago, man!!

Last Day of Internship in KCYS

WHILE I was packing and tidying up my stuff in the office, boss KC came to me and asked if I can read Chinese. I told him yea and he took out a Chinese book and passed it to me. Boss said it was a little something for me.

I looked at the title and it says 创意是训练出来的 (creativity through training). I flipped through some pages and found out that the vocabs are not too difficult for me to read and understand. I guess I will spend some time reading the book. Afterall, the boss is too nice already. Well who knows, I might find something interesting inside.

Now that I have finished my practical training and don't have to worry getting up early in the morning, what is the next plan??

A Gift From KCYS

FINALLY after undergoing eight weeks of my practical training in KCYS Architects, today is my last day of work. Weee~~ I do learn a lot things my colleagues and bosses and most importantly they are good to me.

Initially I was thinking of working in a big architecture firm cz I thought it should be nice to have many people working together but now I find that working in a small (or medium) firm can be quite exciting and fun as well. I think what attracted me when I first came for interview was the cosy environment of the office.

Anyway, time flies. Yesterday my boss KC handed me a little souvenior after I asked him to sign some documents for me. I was surprised!

He told me, it was designed by one of our colleages

A big piece of diamond/crystal glass

Ahh, I do not know how they make this

But I LOVE it! So cool!
Thank you KCYS

There is something nice that I wanna share. Check out the video below! Have a nice Friday =)

Penang Escape 1

TWO weeks ago, my family and I went for a trip. It was quite a last minute plan and since I am back home for my internship, mum suggested that we go for a trip together. And Penang was the choice of destination. It's been a long time we've never hang out together as a family.

Since there are many photos, I shall just post them up into two posts and let the pictures tell the story. =)

We departed early Saturday morning

The weather was cooling and looking fine on that day

The first place we went - the Penang Hill
The cable car station

My mum's only son

I have not ride this since primary school time

Going up

On the way up

 Crowded

Coming from the opposite direction

Cable car interchange at the middle of the hill

Incoming cable car

Passing through the tunnel

Alighting at the hilltop station

From the top, you could view almost all of Penang Island. Spendid!

Mum and sis

The weather was rather cooling on top and very enjoyable

Next, we visited the Penang Museum

No photos are allowed inside the building.
This antique car displayed outside looked big and kinda scary

Part 2 coming up in a few days' time =)

Internship in KL

HELLO people! It's been a week I started my practical training. The firm that I am working is located at the IOI Business Park, Puchong, I am working in an architecture firm called KCYS Architects. There are around 20 people in the office including three bosses: KC, CY and YS. Thus, KCYS. =)

The office entrance
Every morning I am traveling to work by taking the MRR2 (Middle Ring Road 2) which is always congested on the other side, luckily, and the Bandar Kinrara way to get to Puchong. The journey takes around 40 minutes drive. Red.fm is the channel keeps me entertain along the way.
Smooth drive along the highway at my area
Slow moving traffic near Bandar Tun Razak

Passing by Astro building in Serdang
Surprisingly, in the firm that I am working, there are quite a number of staff who are ex-UTM students. Few of them still remember long serving lecturers like Apai (PM Jaafar) and Ar Hong.

During lunch break, I'll follow my colleagues for a meal at the nearby area. Puchong has A LOT of things to eat I tell you. I wonder if I am able to try all the places to eat before I left the firm in two months' time.

As I am the only trainee in the firm, I was asked to handle simple project and some minor tasks. The other day, boss KC asked me to go to the local authority office in Petaling Jaya and Shah Alam to have the drawings checked. All the plans and drawings have to be checked then approved by the town planner before proceed to further steps.

Here are some of my course mates internship experience: Hui San, Jenny, Jean and Anis.

As for me, I prefer going outdoor than staying inside the office, looking at monitor screen of AutoCad and Sketchup. Right now, I am working on a banquet hall design in Kajang, with assist from a staff, who happens to be a UTM graduate in 2004.

Hope it'll be a good internship experience in these 2 months' time!
