Green

LOOK around you. What can you find that is green?

Green is almost everywhere. Take for example, in my house:

My gate is green.

The trees outside.

As well as plants the inside.

The pandan leaves my mum planted.

The garden hose

The green tiles

Also the oil container dad left at the car porch

You see, green is everywhere.

Inside my house, part of the wall is green too.

Anyway, that’s not important.

This is the main reason I’m writing this post:
No, it's not the bicycle
Hmm, a lil closer
There. Can see?
Yup. The FuturArc magazine which I just got less than 12 hours ago. This 2008 3rd quarter edition of the magazine seems to be quite difficult to find. I’ve searched almost everywhere in Taman U and JB but couldn’t spot it.

Even Han Chee wanted to get for me when she was in Singapore, there was only one left at that place. And she got it for herself. Luckily they still have NOT totally run out of stock. I got this copy from Borders at Times Square this afternoon.
Unlike the previous ones, they wrapped this. Must be having something wonderful inside

Yes indeed! There is an extra special of section in this edition of FuturArc

Remember the competition that my friends and I took part early this year? Actuall it was one of our studio assignment. The competition was organized by FuturArc and in such a short period of time we managed to rush for the submission AND luckily enough we got a small award from it.
I'm looking for this!

The description written by the magazine people
Haha. Passion sounds so dedicated and obsess. Doesn't suit me lah

So, go grab a copy if you are interested k. Normally only big bookstores will have them. And it’s quite worth it seriously. For a price of RM32.50, you’ll get to see so many competition entries by the others. Some of them did really well and they deserved the prizes. (Plus, this edition is much thicker compared to the others).

And, no animal were harmed during the production of this post.

Love green! Be green! Go green!

Update:
This year's competition is back. Come register and join here.

Dateline is on the 31st December

New Sem, New Kolej

THE new semester has begun and I am back to JB again. It’s been three days since uni started but the mood is still like being at home. Don’t really feel like doing anything yet. Assignments are already on though.
During one of a sieness class
Some things are gonna be different this semester. I am no longer staying in the kolej (hostel) I used to stay for the past two years. From this sem onwards, priorities are given to the international students before we could grabbed any room in that kolej (where I used to stay).
Therefore, most of us ended up staying far away this year. Despite all the services fees that we paid, the uni feeder bus is so unreliable. There will be problems if we do not have our own transportation. Especially for us who always stay in the studio till late at night.
My new room
Kolej Tun Ghafar Baba (or K15) is where I am staying right now. At the same time, my roommate Choon Wah and I am trying to apply back to our previous hostel which is much more nearer to our faculty.
I blog from here
There are advantages staying on the 5th floor actually. I don’t have to worry about closing the window and people climbing in at night. The view from the room is wonderful. Greenery hill, trees, and over looking part of the housing area nearby. Not forgetting the unpolluted air and the cool weather up here. But of all them, what I like most is the desk in the room. It is big and most suitable for people to have many stuff and lazy to tidy up, like me! Hehe.
Staying at the 5th level
Last time I only have to spend 10 minutes walking to the faculty but right now driving to the faculty is a 5 km journey. And with the increase of petrol price lately some more!! Moreover, I gotta wake up a bit earlier for morning classes compared to last time.
View from the room
But this moment I have no problem with that, everyday wake up in time and get ready for class. Even has time for morning breakfast in the room. But as the semester goes on, I guess that will be a different story anymore. =p

It Is June

YUP, it is now the birthday month and I just got back from my measured drawing activity in Negeri Sembilan on Wednesday. During the past two weeks I’ve been staying in a kampong and apart from measuring our building, I lived (almost) like a kampong boy. Anyway, feeling kinda lazy to blog about it at this moment. I just wana sit and do nothing. This is what I had been doing in Negeri Sembilan when I had nothing to do. Just sit and do nothing. No internet, no SMS, no entertainment other than Mahjong Titans from the laptop. Everyday just eat, work, and enjoy scenery.

Meanwhile, something new appeared in my house while I was away during the two weeks. Dad called someone to install a sliding compartment door between the kitchen and the dining room. This will stop the smoke from spreading into the whole house when mum is cooking. The white and blue matches well and blends into the area. Also, a new cooker hood will be installed soon.
That's mum

And her new friend

Other than that, my ‘new’ car is also at home already. Dad drove it back from Malacca last two week. Today I brought the car to the garage to change the *something* which I do not know. Many things need to be checked and changed though. The second hand car cost RM5000. After all the servicing and touch up here and there, and a paint job, it will be around RM7000. Right now still undecided whether to spray it or not. Hmm…

Days without School

TODAY (12/10/05):

Secreteries wanted
I was called by dad to follow him to his office. I brought some of my revision and tuition notes there because I knew that I'll be bored to death without doing anything there. I am glad that I'll be able to return to school again tomorrow after some days of break (due to PMR and MUET exams). I did not study much during the past few days although STPM is coming in less than ONE year. (to be more precise is less than ONE month). These are what I have done during the past 3 days:

SUNDAY (9/10/05):
Renovation in progress
Started my day by cleaning and tidying up my VERY-MESSY room. I threw away some old junks, found some old books to be sold, captured some cockroaches with thier eggs, cleaned up the dust that has been staying on the cupboard months ago. I also removed two tables which I found very zo deng. After many hours of cleaning, wiping, arranging and lepaking, it was time for dinner...and I haven't finish tidying up the room. Oh I forgot to mention that I accidently felt asleep in the room.

Plu Cafe
At night my fufet friends called for yamcha. We went to a dark cafe which I had problem communicating with my friends in there as I only could hear their voices. The cafe only has oil lamps.

"Hello, can you see my face?"

Maybe oil lamps are cheaper than light bulbs
We stayed there until around 12.30am before we decided to get back home.

MONDAY (10/10/05):
Took a quick breakfast and continue to tidy up my room. After all the vacuuming and mopping, I was glad that my room had become tidy and neat once again. (I'm sure this is not going to last long)

Room to let
After that it was my favourite past time, ONLINE! All this while I had been looking at reading at some of my friends' and other people's blogs. Some blogs did attract me with funny pictures and interesting stories. My net friend, Lee Peng suggested to me that I also should start one since I have interesting moment happening in my life and I always take pictures wherever I go.
I thought it would be wonderful to share moments that is going to happen later in my life. So this is how http://jitty.blogspot.com was born. After creating a new blog I spent that whole day and night exploring, configurating and testing on it.
You see, I was not born that smart.

TUESDAY (11/10/15):
My friends and I went to our friend's mum funeral in the morning. We were late. (More stories here)
Later went for maths tuition in the noon. Kah Lok snapped some pictures and video of Tutor Ong, our tuiton teacher. He was shy and he insisted that we change his face to the Taiwanese singer/artist Jerry Yan if we post his picture. Didn't know that he was so perasan.

Returned home at 5.30pm and took a short nap. Then had dinner before continue exploring the wonders of bloging again.
Did I mention about studying/doing revision these two days? =p
